I envisioned these disciples walking dusty roads together, sent out in pairs to heal, proclaim, and embody the nearness of the Kingdom. I wanted to explore the beauty of mutual ministry between men and women visually. Perhaps some of the seventy sent out were married couples. Perhaps others became like siblings bound together through Jesus. Though seemingly sent out with nothing, a third shadow appears as a quiet nod to the Spirit traveling with them. The same Spirit that hovered over creation now moved through ordinary bodies, empowering healing and announcing the birth of a new Kingdom.
